Very good news! Sziget France has announced that Justice will definetly play this year’s Sziget. Justice will play Sziget on August 17th.
Justice is already mentioned as playing Sziget on the festival Last.FM page. Alanis Morisette is also persistantly rumored for this year’s festival.
A rumor that’s been very persistent on a lot of forums and websites lately, the one about the legendary-just-reformed Rage Against The Machine playing at this year’s Sziget Festival. More good news for metal fans, this time. German thrash-metallers Dew Scented will be playing this year’s Sziget, on August 15th. The news is also confirmed on their official site.
Good news for all of you planning to go to Sziget and dance all night. Sziget Festival’s Spanish site confirms Carl Cox turning the tables at the Party Arena on the 15th. Also mentioned is Kymani Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley, who will be playing the festival’s World Music Stage.
According to Sziget’s Last.fm page, the latest name for this year’s festival are Pete Doherty’s Babyshambles. We’ll keep you posted if any other new names pop up. The organizers of Sziget have reported today, after announcing a lot of important artists playing this year, that Leonard Cohen won’t be one of this year’s acts. This happens after the Canadian musician announced playing Sziget himself. He has since cancelled his August tour dates.
