Announcement: The National, Tom Odell, Others @ Sziget 2019

Yesterday, Sziget Festival announced the latest additions to its 2019 lineup, naming the artist to occupy the last free headliner slot: it’s The National, the American rock band formed in 1999 in Ohio. The band has just announced the imminent release of its new album called “Am Easy to Find” scheduled on May 17th – this means that their fans will be delighted to hear their fresh materials the best way, live on the stage. The band will take the Main Stage of Sziget 2019 on August 10.

Here are the rest of the performers who have been announced to join the lineup of the 2019 Sziget Festival:

  • Mura Masa
  • Tom Odell
  • Johnny Marr
  • Big Thief
  • Honne
  • David August
  • Broken Social Scene
  • Coheed and Cambria
  • Jax Jones
  • Sonny Fodera
  • Polo & Pan
  • Khruangbin
  • Black Mountain
  • Grace Carter
  • Ocean Alley
  • Burak Yeter

At the same time, Sziget prepares for its next price hike – at the time this article was written, there were only around 25 hours left before it. Starting tomorrow, a 7-day Pass will cost €339 (today, it costs €319), a 5-day Pass will cost €299 (current cost: €279), and a three-day ticket will cost €219 (current cost: €199). The rest of the ticket prices will grow proportionally.

  1. pretty weak … except the headliners we dont have a really various music genre .. also zero drum and bass … the poppunk/rock/metal scene is all about the Of Mice & Men .. i miss those days when we got hospitality night .. also some good metal bands like limp bizkit hollywood undead . BMTH .. Bullet for my valentine . sum 41 .. etc etc .. but right now mostly alternative and pop artists .. and also 80% of the undercards are rare known names. and i consider myself as a festival veteran with over 40 international festivals 😐
