After being one of the first bands to announce their presence at this year’s Sziget (the news article still is on their official site), it seems that something happened along the way and Rise Against won’t be at this year’s Sziget. None of the official confirmations in the last few days mention them, and now there is no Sziget date on their site or MySpace. Also, they’re booked from August 12 to August 15.
But who knows, maybe on August 16?

Aah that’s a bummer… I hope they still will be anounced ’cause it’s a great band I really like to see. I’ve missed them here back in the Netherlands/Belgium…
I hope to see Rise against at Sziget 2009, because in August Offspring are in Tour in Germany with Toten Hosen, Arctic Monkeys and Rise against!!

Well, the told us on their tour that they will join Sziget. Hope they still join and hope to see them for my 7th time! =D

I wrote them, and get the following answer:
“They are not coming- it ended up not working out! Sorry, we will be coming there on this album though.”
I dont expect Rise Against anymore. None of the Sziget-sites announce the band anymore, and it is just to strange for their current tour schedule. Btw I’ve also send them a message, didn’t get anything back so far.
