Biffy Clyro was hinting Hungary, not Sziget

Biffy Clyro will be playing Hungary this year, as suggested on Twitter a while ago. That’s the good news.

The bad news is that it won’t be at Sziget. The band has been confirmed for another Hungarian festival – Pannonia Fesztival, taking place in June, in Szantodpuszta.

  1. This is an awful news. I was expecting them for Day 0 or 14th August, seeing they’re playing Frequency on 13th August. They were the best headliner of last year and due to the fact they are one of the cheapest headliner bands with a low fee they would have been perfect for Sziget!

  2. So if I understand there’s 0 chance to have a band playing in VOLT to play at SzigeT? not even 1?

  3. Im really curious about the amount of spaces left on mainstage. Does anybody has information about this?

  4. We’ll know at the end of the month! I hope to have 2 announcements in april!

New Lowland names, same week-end as Sziget!

Stromae | Volbeat | St. Vincent | Jonathan Wilson | Royal Blood | The Asteroids Galaxy Tour | Larry And His Flask | Neck Deep | Josef Salvat | Congo Natty | The Growlers | The Barons of Tang | Bongo Botrako | Marmozets

  5. @Noealiam. Would love to see St. Vincent and Jonathan Wilson at Sziget, don’t know any of the rest.

Just got obsessed by the band “The War on Drugs.” They are playing Pukkelpop in Belgium on 15-Aug-2014 so could easily do Sziget.

  6. @jason
I did some check from the pukkelpop line up too.
The band “St. Lucia” got me. they sound like a light version of The foals with more guilty pleasure. So book them too Sziget 🙂

  7. Sziget Italia said that QOTSA, Brody Dalle, Anti-Flag and deadmau5 are playing on the same stage. Deadmau5 on the Main Stage?

  8. @Bender: Of course he’s not gonna do the Opening Show on the Party Arena 🙂
    So I guess he’ll play at 4pm?

  9. Well, maybe it’s Ska-P who will play on another stage… I hope they won’t play at the same time as Deadmau5!

  10. a DJ at 16.00 on the Main Stage? Impossible to me. It never happened and it would also be a pity because he deserves nighttime. QOTSA at 19.30 and deadmau5 at 21.30 maybe.

  11. But I’ve read that he’s doing the opening show. So maybe the last show of day 0 is the opening show for the “true” 5-days festival?

  12. Yes, last year Bingo Players were also an opening show and they were in Party Arena at midnight day zero

  13. Ok I didn’t know, great! I’m glad that it’ll be nighttime 😉
We want something for this week…
