Sziget Festival will give the chance to one - unknown - Romanian band to make its debut on its stage through its Sziget Talent contest, started a few days ago. Here’s some fabulous news about the Sziget 2012 lineup. It’s beginning to take shape. The legendary industrial band Ministry will be playing Sziget Festival 2012. They have just self-confirmed a number of tour dates on their DeFiBriLaTour for this summer on their official Facebook page and guess what: Sziget Festival 2012 is confirmed for August 8! The official Hungarian website has updated the program page and there are some interesting things in it if you look carefully, as well as some new names. Let's start with the new names, shall we? First of all, on the Europe Stage, two new bands have been added: KILLO KILLO Banda and The Broken Beats. KILLO KILLO Banda will play on August 12, while The Broken Beats will play Sziget on August 10. On the A38-Wan2 stage, two new acts have been added: Electrelane (on August 11) and Watchaclan (August 13), both very interesting from what we could hear on their respective sites. Now,
Some really cool information coming our way today. First of all, metal fans will be happy to hear that the official Szigetfest Twitter account is announcing Helloween for the Metal Stage. The same source also announces Goose, for those wanting to party at Sziget. (UPDATE: Goose will be playing on August 11, according to their Facebook - thanks Eva!) On the other hand, the Sziget France Facebook announces Hudson Mohawke for the A38-Wan2. They're also confirming Goose and Helloween.
Good news today. Three more interesting acts have confirmed themselves for Sziget Festival 2011. First of all, we're talking about Great Imitation (we got an e-mail from their bass player, saying that they've won the Surface Unsigned competition in the UK). The Roma Stage is always a great place at Sziget. The fun is always at home, and so are the very interesting artists. Here are the first two self-confirmations for this year's Sziget Roma Stage (with a big Sziget news thanks to gábor). These are two quite interesting Hungarian acts. First, we have Goulasch Exotica on August 13. The date is confirmed on their official MySpace. Second, there's the band Napra. Thanks to our friend Mellowmaniac, we know two more main stage dates for this year's Sziget Festival. You can already see them in the updated lineup page. So, K.I.Z. will play the Sziget 2010 Main Stage on August 12 (according to their website and MySpace page). Mellowmaniac also found out from Subsonica's management that they will play the Main Stage on August 14.
