In an event completely unrelated to the Sziget Festival, punk lovers will have a reason to stick around in Budapest for an extra day: influential punk group Bad Religion will be live in concert at Budapest Park (here). The event has been confirmed on Facebook, but it is not yet present in the Budapest Park official list of events, and neither is it to find on Bad Religion's websites (they will be at Chiemsee Summer on the 19th, so it's plausible). Bad Religion played at the Sziget Festival in 2013, and several times before, but this time their performance will mean an unexpected
No new names, just a date confirmation. The Subways will play Sziget on August 12, according to their official Facebook page. That means we already have two names for Sunday – The Subways and Mando Diao.
More interesting schedule news. Mando Diao will play Sziget 2012 on August 12, according to their official site (thanks, mellowmaniac) As always, all of the schedule info is posted in our Sziget 2012 line up page.
The official Hungarian website has updated the program page and there are some interesting things in it if you look carefully, as well as some new names. Let's start with the new names, shall we? First of all, on the Europe Stage, two new bands have been added: KILLO KILLO Banda and The Broken Beats. KILLO KILLO Banda will play on August 12, while The Broken Beats will play Sziget on August 10. On the A38-Wan2 stage, two new acts have been added: Electrelane (on August 11) and Watchaclan (August 13), both very interesting from what we could hear on their respective sites. Now,
Just as expected, the organizers have given us the second big Sziget 2011 line up announcement today. And things are as good as they can be. It looks even more like we're gonna have a brilliant Sziget week this year. Apart from Amy Winehouse and Lostprophets - two acts we told you about, here's what the announcement (and, by consequence, the Sziget 2011 line up) has to offer: Kasabian, The Maccabees and Good Charlotte are coming, and so do Deftones and Within Temptation (returning after an excellent performance a few years ago). Joining will be Kid Cudi, as well as Peter Bjorn
Another act has self-confirmed its presence at Sziget Festival 2011. Pupilla, a Hungarian Progressive / Psychedelic / Trance act has the date confirmed on their MySpace page, where you can also check out some of their tracks. They will play the Ambient Tent, always a cool place at Sziget.
No new acts this time, just a date that also goes into our lineup page. Kamelot will play Sziget Festival 2010 on August 14 according to their official website. Most certainly at the Rock Stage.
More interesting acts have just been confirmed on the official Sziget site, through a press release. Probably the most important for a lot of you would be 30 Seconds to Mars. This will be good news for a lot of people that wanted them very much to play this year's Sziget Festival. Metal fans will be happy to hear about Fear Factory and Kamelot. German legend Nina Hagen will also be at Sziget Festival 2010, and also Calvin Harris. Major Lazer and Young Punx, that Sziget News already told you about, are now officially confirmed. So is the rumor about Charlie Winston, that we were
Another interesting act is self-confirmed for Sziget Festival 2010 - Fanfare Vagabontu. This is an act that includes 8 Gypsy musicians from the Moldova region of Romania and Marseille. Their music might sound familiar to you if you've played the game Rabbids, as they're responsible for the music in it. We assume they'll play the World Music Stage. They've made a small mistake on their MySpace, where they're confirming their presence, writing that Sziget is in Bulgaria, but they also wrote that they will be playing on August 15. The other piece of information we have for you today is more of a
Belgian band Vive la fete is now officially confirmed for Sziget Festival 2010 - they are listed on the official Belgian and Dutch sites. We told you about Vive la Fete on Sziget News a while ago.
