A few more interesting acts have confirmed their presence at this year’s Sziget Festival via their websites or MySpace pages.

First, there’s Hudaki, from Nizhne Selyshe, Ukraine. Their presence is confirmed on their official website and you can check out their MySpace for a few songs. They play great traditional music, straight from the Carpathians!
Then, there’s Klezmofobia, a band that calls its music “New York Klezmer”. Their presence is confirmed on the Klezmofobia official website.
Also self confirmed on their MySpace pages are two Hungarian acts, Gyongyi Salla (for August 12) and Dalkloid Sound (August 13)

After playing Sziget 2009, it seems that 08001 will be at Sziget this year, too. This wonderful news is confirmed on the 08001 official website (thanks, Fantomas).

In case you don’t know who 08001 are, we’ll just tell you that they are quite a very interesting project, combining the inspiration of a line-up of artists from all around the world, that meet in Barcelona to create their music.
08001 live shows mix the performances of a large number of artists with a visual screen show.
08001 are set to play Sziget Festival 2010 on August 15.

Here’s an update on the earlier Rise Against rumor. We tried to confirm this with their staff, and we got an answer a few minutes ago from Missy Worth, at their management.
This is what it said:
We will not be playing- we won’t be in Europe in august
Sorry to give you this news, but the information on the last.fm page is inaccurate.
We also got some good news from the Rise Against management – the band will play in Budapest in June.

The Sziget 2010 last.fm page confirms another very interesting and important act for this year’s Sziget Festival – Asian Dub Foundation! This is not confirmed somewhere else yet. If you know more, please tell us (thanks, BT2303)
Our reader kocheba says that two bands from Belarus are also set to play Sziget 2010 – The Toobes and Serebryanaja Svad`ba.

Not a lot to tell you about in the past few days. Some interesting and maybe not so good news comes from our friend Mellowmaniac, quoting an e-mail from the Sziget press office. It seems that, if you wanted to see Bloc Party and 808 State, you won’t be able to. They’re both playing at the same time.
808 State is set to play sas the headliner of the Party Arena on August 13 (which means around 19:30), so it’s about the same time as Bloc Party.
Quoting the same source, our friend says they hope to have the complete lineup (including international acts on Day Zero) until the middle of July.

Even more good news for metal fans. It seems that the metal announcements were saved for last, let’s hope they keep coming. Turisas, the Finnish Viking Metal Band, an interesting act indeed, are confirmed on their website for this year’s Sziget Festival. They will be at Sziget on Saturday, August 15, according to their official site (thanks, Mellowmaniac & chudo_pahan).
