Sziget Festival has received appreciation for its environmental efforts at Greener Festival Awards. The ceremony taking place in Groningen, the Netherlands, has appreciated the green activities that Sziget organizers have undertaken.Among these, according to Budapest Business Journal, quoting a press release from the Sziget organizers, were "efficient water use, low carbon emissions, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and serving the needs of performers in a more sustainable way".
