MTV Live HD will be broadcasting some Sziget Festival 2011 gigs, in case you want to remember the wonderful Sziget mood.

Included so far are Sziget Festival performances from White Lies, La Roux, Interpol, as well as Kasabian (pictured).

If you are lucky enough to live in a country in which MTV Live HD is available – you can check out the list of countries here – you can enjoy some of last year’s performances again.

According to the schedule (PDF file), things will start off this Sunday with White Lies, at 22:00 CET. kasabian

Also, you will be able to see La Roux (on February 12), Interpol (February 19) and Kasabian (February 26th), according to the Spanish Canal+ website listing the schedule.

Another band has self-confirmed its presence at Sziget Festival 2012.

German indie/post-punk band In Golden Tears say on their Facebook page that they will play Sziget 2012 on August 7.

And just as we told you a few days ago, it starts with Placebo.

Then, we have Hurts (pictured below), back after their performance at Sziget 2011, The Horrors, and The Subways (back, just like Placebo, after performing at Sziget in 2009).

Joining the Sziget 2012 lineup will be Crystal Fighters, Mando Diao, Noah & The Whale, and Friendly Fires.

In the official announcement, Karoly Gerendai, Sziget’s main organizer, says that “there’s a lot more to come.”

It says:

Da ist was im Busch, morgen gibt’s Bestätigungen!

Which, roughly translated, means that there’s something cooking tomorrow. This means a lineup announcement (probably Placebo, as we told you a few days ago), but could Bush also be a possibility?  (that seems like a reference, but we’ll see tomorrow). What’s certain is that they’re ending their US and Canada tour at the end of June. They’ve released a new album a few months ago, after all…

After The Stone Roses, announced officially a while ago, it would seem that we’ll officially have the next Sziget 2012 headliner on Monday.

And it’s Placebo, a band that last played Sziget in 2009.

The band has announced on their official site that they would announce festival dates for this summer on Monday, the 23rd of January, but according to britishrock.cc, that have uncovered the info on the offficial Placebo site, Sziget is among those dates.

We still have to wait for Monday morning for the final confirmation.

Their answer was that even though they’re not yet officially confirmed, they have won the Talent Stage contest at Peninsula 2011 Festival (Felsziget). The first prize was the inclusion in the Sziget 2012 lineup.

We think it’s safe to say that we’ll see them at Sziget 2012. Until then, check them out on their MySpace page.
