UPDATE: Gui Boratto is listed to play Balaton Sound and usually acts performing there don’t play Sziget, too (he might have mixed things up a bit 🙂 ). Still, who knows…
We’ve just received a very interesting email from our reader Mitchell. He had an email conversation with Brazilian DJ Gui Boratto (as seen below), and he said that he would play Sziget 2011.

Hey Gui,
Are you playing in the netherlands anytime this year? Or at the biggest festival
in Europe, Sziget (hungary)?
Love your music!
thanks in advance,
Mitchell
That should be very good news for those of you loving the Party Arena. We hope to get this date listed on his MySpace or website soon. Still, he’s touring a lot this year, so this seems highly possible.
I guess Mr. Boratto mixed up the festivals… The first confirmations for Volt and Balatonsound are released and these bands usually don’t play on one of the sister-festivals (Volt, Balaton Sound, Sziget, Stargarden):
Balatonsound:
– Underworld
– Portishead
– Thievery Corporation
– Tiesto
– Ricardo Villalobos
– Luciano
– The Orb
– Magnetic Man
– Armin Van Buuren
– Axwell
– Gui Boratto
– John Digweed
VOLT:
– Moby
– 30 Seconds To Mars
– Primus
– House of Pain
– Pendulum
– Paul Kalkbrenner
– Crookers
– Joris Voorn
@Mellowmaniac: 🙂 who knows, maybe he’ll be the exception to that rule
Good news:
I just got the official info that the first announcement is planned for next week! This ist much earlier than in the last years..!
In the announcement there will also be some pretty interesting information about general changes concerning the stages!
P.S.: even if they are planning to make the big announcement next week it is possible that it might be delayed for a few days! 😉
🙂 Waiting mode activated.
Official announcement on wednesday!
BTW: the V-Festival will announce their headliners and other bands tonight at midnight CET and the FM4 Frequency festival will also announce new band on wednesday. This could be a hint for a shared headliner! 😉
Im hoping for:
Arctic Monkeys
Iggy and the Stooges
Foo Fighters
Rise Against
Eminem (no chance though)
Beady Eye
Radiohead
The Strokes
The National are playing
