There has been a lot of chatter about how Sziget's lineups keep getting worse (or more "mainstream") in the last few years. We've decided to take a walk down memory lane and look at the lineups of the festival since 2009 (this is as far as our records go back). There are two things that influence the lineup of a music festival that make their presence felt in the case of Sziget, too - even if it considers itself (and it is considered by many) more than just that: the current taste of the prospective visitors and the availability of performers

They're both playing at the same time. 808 State is set to play sas the headliner of the Party Arena on August 13 (which means around 19:30), so it's about the same time as Bloc Party. Quoting the same source, our friend says they hope to have the complete lineup (including
Finally, some good news for all the metalheads coming to Sziget, after GWAR's cancellation, that probably sadened quite a few people. The official Hungarian site lists Satyricon, the legendary Norwegian Black Metal band, that will come to raise hell at this year's Sziget Rock Stage.
Another day, another headliner announced. After we've complained of a lack of artist names for this year's Sziget Festival, it looks like the announcements come one after the other. The Dutch official Sziget Festival site lists The Offspring among the headliners for this year's Sziget Festival.
