More names for Heineken Balaton Sound

Heineken Balaton Sound has announced a lot of new names today. We’re posting these because, traditionally, acts at Balaton Sound and Volt usually don’t play Sziget. So at least we can take them off the speculation list. Here’s the list of artists announced today: David Guetta Paul Kalkbrenner Sander van Doorn Fritz Kalkbrenner Gareth Emery Maceo Plex GusGus Feed Me Crazy P Dapayk Solo Nina Kraviz Tensnake

Viza now official & some dates

Some more good news is hidden on the official site. Viza is posted in the list of artists confirmed. We told you about them playing a while ago. On the other hand, our friend mellowmaniac has already gathered a couple of Sziget 2012 performance dates for bands confirmed today. Noah & The Whale will be playing August 11, Glasvegas have a tweet saying that they will be playing Main Stage on August 8 at 4:30 PM, while Paolo Nutini will be playing on August 12.

New acts later this week

A very interesting post on the @szigetfest Twitter account in reply to one of the users confirms that new acts will be announced later this week. We’re really curious to see if there will be anything else except the ones we already know.

Bat For Lashes doesn’t confirm Sziget 2012

We wrote a while ago, quoting the EMI Hungary site, that Bat For Lashes will perform at Sziget 2012. Since the news article has since disappeared from the label's site, we tried to confirm it with the band. Here's the answer we got: [...] Bat for Lashes currently has no confirmed live dates for 2012 and any official announcements relating to any future dates will be posted on the Bat for Lashes website.[...] Hopefully, a Sziget 2012 date will be confirmed soon.

Two more acts for Sziget 2011

The Sziget 2011 line up got richer by two acts today, when the official Facebook page for UK, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Norway and Sweden has announced Dutch hip hop and R&B group De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig, as well as  DeWolff, a cool Dutch rock band. The names were also announced on RockBlog (Dutch) (Thanks go to geek and Zmeer)

Chemical Brothers, Pulp and Dizzee Rascal in the Sziget 2011 lineup + TriggerFinger

More cool news coming today, right before the first official announcement, that's supposed to happen tomorrow. According to the official French Facebook Sziget page, the Sziget Festival 2011 lineup is set to include Chemical Brothers (that put on a fabulous show a few years ago), Pulp and Dizzee Rascal. Plus, Triggerfinger have also confirmed their presence at Sziget Festival 2011 on their official site. Ain't this a brilliant day, after The National also self-confirmed?
