A new year has come - unfortunately, with no new participants to Sziget Festival announced by the organizers. But life doesn't stop because of this delay. Neighboring Romania has its own - growing - festival scene with events being announced and performers being booked across the year. And some of them happen right in time to also make it to Sziget's lineup this year. Important names for VOLT Festival

Some important names for VOLT Festival have been officially announced today. VOLT Festival will take place in Sopron, between 27-30 July. We’re telling you this because artists playing VOLT usually don’t play Sziget. Leading the list are Iggy & The Stooges, followed by Snow Patrol and Lost Prophets. Then, there’s Children of Bodom, Katy B and Hadouken!. Skrillex was announced a while ago.

Pendulum confirmed for Sziget Festival 2009!

The information has just been confirmed on their MySpace page, as well as their official website. Pendulum will play Live at this year's Sziget Festival on August 14. They  promised to return last year, when they couldn't play Sziget Festival due to unforeseen circumstances. Now their promise has been fulfilled. We hope this news will make all our readers that wanted Pendulum to play Sziget very happy (Laura, thanks for your help).

Fanfara lui Craciun @ Sziget Festival 2009

We have another confirmed act for this year's Sziget Festival. Fanfara lui Craciun, a very interesting brass band coming from Zece Prajini, a Romanian village close to the Moldavian border, is playing Sziget Festival 2009 on August 16 at 4:00 PM, most certainly at the World Music Stage.
