Placebo are the second Sziget 2012 headliner!

UPDATE: this image is on the Placebo official website, so this comes as even more confirmation. After The Stone Roses, announced officially a while ago, it would seem that we’ll officially have the next Sziget 2012 headliner on Monday. And it’s Placebo, a band that last played Sziget in 2009. The band has announced on their official site that they would announce festival dates for this summer on Monday, the 23rd of January, but according to, that have uncovered the info on the offficial Placebo site, Sziget is among those dates. We still have to wait for Monday morning for the final confirmation.  

BREAKING!: Blink 182 to play Sziget 2010?

Blink 182 have reunited and have already announced the fact that they will play some large European festivals in the summer of 2010. Among them will be Sziget 2010, rumors say. Mark Hoppus said: "Yes indeed!! I have been asked to announce that blink-182 are once again heading back over “the pond” for a few weeks of touring in Europe during the summer of 2010. Exact dates and schedules are going to be released over the next couple of months by the promoters, as well as on and our other affiliated sites. We’re very excited to get back on the road

Disco Ensemble release new video

Disco Ensemble, the Finnish punk sensation that will play Sziget Festival 2009's Main Stage on August 16, have just released a video for their song "Back on the MF Street", off the newly released EP of the same name. You can watch the video below. The band are in full form as they embarked on a huge summer tour, that will culminate with their performance at Sziget 2009.

Last year we've seen Iron Maiden on Zero Day. Who do you think the Zero-Day band will be this year? Will it be Metallica (they have a festival tour in Europe this summer), Green Day (they will announce their tour dates soon) or another big name?
