The announcement was anticipated by so many that when it finally got published, the sheer number of visitors apparently took down the Sziget websites: Hopefully, this is not a bad omen for the upcoming event. As usual, there was a lot of speculation - mostly based on the lineups announced by other festivals, and the tour dates announced by the artists or the bands - about who will be the names supposed to draw

And there are some big names on the list, too: Asaf Avidan The Script Major Lazer C2C Arty Asaf Avidan is an Israeli musician, singer and songwriter, a former animator from Tel Aviv who has been guided toward the stage by a broken heart (this explains a lot about his style). This will be good news for a lot of people that wanted them very much to play this year's Sziget Festival. Metal fans will be happy to hear about Fear Factory and Kamelot. Today's quite a full day here on Sziget News. The latest news coming from our friend Mellowmaniac should indeed make party people going to Sziget happy (as he put it himself). Major Lazer, the collaborative musical project from DJ/Producers Diplo and Switch, will play Sziget Festival 2010. Major Lazer is a fictional character, that fought as Jamaican commando and lost his arm in conflict. Their MySpace includes a lot of fun images of him. Major Lazer will be at Sziget Festival 2010 on August 15, according to the official MySpace.
