Sziget 2016 is starting to take shape with today's announcements of the first performers. But these are just the first names of hundreds more to come. At the same time the organizers of the festival have also announced that 25% of all Sziget 2016 passes have been sold already. Considering last year's limit of 45,000 passes, this could mean over 10,000 passes sold. More good news is hidden in the VOLT 2013 press release: Parov Stelar will be at Sziget 2013. The press release includes the first names for VOLT Festival 2013, but also a first official confirmation for Sziget Festival 2013. The press release says that Parov Stelar band will be seen by fans twice this summer, once at VOLT and once at Sziget, in August. Is that good news or what? And it means that our Sziget 2013 lineup finally has an official confirmation on it. Let’s hope for many more as soon as possible and let’s hope for a great Sziget 2013, shall we?
The first names for VOLT Festival 2013, taking place in Sopron, Hungary in July have been announced. The most important ones are 30 Seconds to Mars, a familiar act for festivals in the Sziget family, and Queens of the Stone Age. Joining them will be Parov Stelar Band, Example and Jamie Woon. A promo video has also been made on the occasion and you can watch it below. Could this mean that some Sziget names are coming soon, too? UPDATED Volt Festival, Sziget's "brother", has announced the acts for this year. The festival takes place in Hungary, too (in Sopron, to be accurate), has the same organizers and it's between June 30 and July 3.
