Superbutt at Sziget 2010

Hungarian band Superbutt is self-confirmed for this year's Sziget Festival. The news that they will play Sziget is confirmed on Superbutt's official website. They are set to play Sziget 2010 on August 15, according to that same website. (thanks, Bas Assink)

Kackten E Sait at Sziget 2009

Maybe they're not such a well-known name, but this girl band seems to have atitude. Founded by four girls sharing a passion for music, Swedish girl band Kackten E Sait are set, according to their MySpace, to "change the world". We don't know if they'll succeed, but they will play Sziget on August 13, according to that same MySpace page.

This Will Destroy You at Sziget 2009?

Szigetnews friend feef. has sent us some very interesting news. He says that he talked to This Will Destroy You and that they told him that they will play at this year's Sziget Festival. They're quite an interesting band. Wikipedia says they play instrumental post-rock, we really don't know if they can be categorized. Anyway, the songs on their MySpace are well worth checking out. Just click here to do that. UPDATE: We've talked to Matthias, from their management, and he says they're not confirmed. Let's hope they do get confirmed, as they're quite an interesting band.

Sigur Ros and Amy Winehouse at Sziget Festival 2009?

Don't tell anyone, but we just heard a rumor that Sigur Ros might play at this year's Sziget Festival and that the information is listed in this month's edition of Hungarian Magazine WAN2 magazine (thanks, Tibor). Szigetnews reader Erik is telling us some more great news. He says  that Amy Winehouse is also listed in the article as a possible artist for Sziget Festival 2009. It seems quite possible, especially since she's playing T in the Park on August 16 and V Festival in England on August 29 and has no other dates in AUgust confirmed. A zero-day performance, maybe? Faith No More announces lineup

Faith No More have announced the lineup for this summer's European tour. Jim Martin won't be a part of it, as rumored. The lineup is as follows: Mike Patton - vocals Jon Hudson - guitar Billy Gould - bass Mike Bordin - drums Roddy Bottum - keyboards No tour dates have been announced yet, but rumors seem to suggest a Faith No More concert at Sziget this year.
