Less Sziget 2013 tickets sold than last year, says chief organizer and promoter

Sziget 2013 tickets have dropped in sales between seven and eight percent in comparison to last year, says chief organizer and promoter of Sziget Karoly Gerendai. The Sziget boss has mentioned some of the reasons for this in statements quoted by The Budapest Times. According to Gerendai, many big international names are unable to accept invitations because of a lack of time. He also blames the collapse of Hungarian airline Malev and the fact that not all of its flights have current correspondents for the situation. Good news for all Sziget fans out there who can’t wait for Sziget Festival 2013. Sziget tickets are already available through Sziget partners all over Europe. The list of these partners can be found here. Also, the central webshop on the Sziget website will open on November 7, so you will be able to get your ticket from there, too. Nothing in the Sziget 2013 lineup yet, but we’re sure things will start popping up soon enough… And don’t forget to make accommodation reservations while you’re at it, so you can get the best price.

Sziget 2013 ticket prices have already been announced, on szigetfest.co.uk. Ticket sales are starting November 2nd, 2012. Just like every year, there’s a discount for those getting them early. The early bird discount lasts until May 5th this time around.
