The Sziget 2010 lineup, at the end of March! – UPDATED

UPDATE: Szigetnews friend anonimous just wrote us, telling us that the Italian official vending company has said that they will have a meeting with the Hungarian team of Sziget and a big name will be known on the evening of the 15th.

The Official Sziget France Facebook page announces an interesting information today. It says that we’ll have the programme at the end of March.

They were usually the best in terms of updates last year, too, so we can’t wait to find out what we’ll see this year!

We’re curious to know if this means the whole lineup (highly improbable) or the first important names.

In the meantime, if you hear any rumors, please forward them – in a comment, using the contact page or contact [at] szigetnews.com.

They will publish the first part of the line-up end of march and hope to have the majority of the program published in may!

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for some big names!

Let’s hope that the one and only “big name” they are going to announce will not be Blink 182! ;)

  4. Sziget News says:

Even Blink wouldn’t be bad :)

  5. mellowmaniac says:

…but not the big surprise (like Muse or Kings of Leon) erveryone is hoping for when they should announce only one name … ;)

BTW: Cankisou from the Czech Republic will open the World Music Stage on the 11th! (self announced via MySpace)

…and another confirmation (I guess as one of the headliners of the world music stage):

    12.08. Tony Allen

Many people will not have heard his name before, but he is an amazing and very famous musician in his scene. As drummer of the legendary Fela Kuti he was one of the innovators of the Afro-Beat.

In later years he collaborated with Damon Albarn (Blur), Paul Simonon (The Clash), and Simon Tong (The Verve) as “The Good, The Bad & The Queen”.

Other collaborations he did in the last few years are with finish electrojazzer Jimi Tenor, and the french artists Air, Sebastian Tellier and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
