And now, the moment we've all been waiting for: Sziget finally announced the first artists and bands to perform at the 25th edition of the festival, Sziget 2017. The announcement was anticipated by so many that when it finally got published, the sheer number of visitors apparently took down the Sziget websites: Hopefully, this is not a bad omen for the upcoming event. As usual, there was a lot of speculation - mostly based on the lineups announced by other festivals, and the tour dates announced by the artists or the bands - about who will be the names supposed to draw

Bad Religion @ Budapest Park on the 18th of August

In an event completely unrelated to the Sziget Festival, punk lovers will have a reason to stick around in Budapest for an extra day: influential punk group Bad Religion will be live in concert at Budapest Park (here). The event has been confirmed on Facebook, but it is not yet present in the Budapest Park official list of events, and neither is it to find on Bad Religion's websites (they will be at Chiemsee Summer on the 19th, so it's plausible). As promised, new names were announced this morning. Muse, Iron Maiden Kasabian, Billy Talent & much more @ Sziget 2010

(this post is updated constantly) The first official line-up announcement has just been posted on the official Hungarian website. The first two very important names are ones that we all suspected - Muse and Iron Maiden!!! Next come more important names:  Kasabian, Billy Talent, The Specials and Gorrillaz Sound System. Happy hardcore band Enter Shikari and Infected Mushroom (that Sziget News found out about some time ago) will also be there. Then, Faithless, Danko Jones, the Hives and The Toy Dolls and Bad Religion (both of the last two names were announced here). Also at Sziget will be Ska-P, that have been at Sziget before, and

Great news tonight for all of you Sziget goers! Another big name is self-confirmed for this year's Sziget Festival. Bad Religion have just self-confirmed themselves in a note, signed by Jay [Bentley], on their official Facebook page that lists their newest added tour dates. According to this note, Bad Religion are set to play Sziget Festival 2010 on August 11. (thanks go to Jos S) 1141
