We just saw a very interesting (and very short, but conclusive) post on the Sziget Germany Facebook page. It just says, as you can see below Neue Bestätigungen? Morgen! meaning “New confirmations? Tomorrow!” We can’t wait, even if it just means making 100% what we already know (although we do hope for more surprises)

Some good news from the Sziget Festival Official Facebook account. It seems that things are going really very fast this year, and we get to know more of the line up earlier on. When asked when new bands would be posted, the answer from the administrator was “next announcement is expected in a few weeks time”, as you can see below. We can’t wait! (thanks, Andy)

International Zero-Day big names & full Sziget 2009 programmes

First of all, you can download an official PDF of the full Sziget 2009 programmes here (or should we say the programmes so far). The source is the official French site. Second of all, Szigetnews friend Tijn has sent us quite some interesting news. Dutch site Rock Blog says that the Sziget 2009 Zero Day, the Rock Against Racism Day, will have  some international acts, too, in addition to the local acts that will most certainly be present. Just when we thought "announcement day" was over, another important name has popped up on the official Sziget Facebook page. Lily Allen will be at this year's Sziget Festival according to the new poster on the Facebook site, that you can check out below.(thanks, tool!) It seems like today is one of those days in which announcements keep on coming. And we couldn't be happier. The official Sziget Facebook site lists a whole bunch of new names. As we already suspected, the news that Rise Against won't be at Sziget this year, after all, is now confirmed by our reader tool. He wrote an e-mail to their management, asking about this and the reply he got was the following: They are not coming- it ended up not working out!
