The final day of the 25th anniversary Sziget Festival has come. Over the last week, Szitizens had the chance to see amazing acts both on and off the stages of the event, enjoy the performances of illusionists, acrobats, clowns, and dancers, chill out and relax or even get their blood pumping to the music played or mixed by various musicians, artists, and DJs. Today, as a last hurrah, the stages and alleys of the event will be filled with an amazing variety of artists and shows, so that all the Szitizens will be able to go home with a set
It's Monday in the rest of the world but this doesn't count on the Island of Freedom, where - for seven days - you can forget about the traditional flow of time. Headlining the Dan Panaitescu Main Stage today will be Major Lazer, preceded by bands like George Ezra, Glass Animals, and TDCC (Two Door Cinema Club). Other notable performances to make your Monday great: Jagwar Ma, Flume, and Cashmere Cat on A38, Bassjackers at the Electronic Beats Arena, Klezmatics on the World Music Stage, and many others. Today, those at home can follow streams from the Island of Freedom once
Although we were prepared for a storm, it didn't come early, so PJ Harvey could finish her performance on Sziget's Main Stage without interruption. Today, in turn, there is much more to expect, even though the weather is a bit more chilly than yesterday. Headlining the Main Stage today are The Chainsmokers, preceded by performances by acts like Metronomy, Hurts, and White Lies, who will be streamed live later in the day. The A38 stage will be taken by acts like The Pretty Reckless, The Naked and Famous (who will likely perform fully clothed, though), and Tycho. The Electronic Beats Arena
Another day, another collection of amazing acts at the Island of Freedom. The second (fourth) day of the event is headlined by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, and before them, the stage will be taken by Halott Pénz, Iggy Azalea, and Galantis. A38 will host punk rock legend Bad Religion at 6 PM (local time), followed by Crystal Fighters and GusGus. The Electronic Beats Arena will be taken over by Oliver Heldens and his friends, Danny Howard, Throttle, Deepend, Digital Farm Animals, and Oliver Heldens himself (1 AM). And on the World Music Stage, the high spirits will be assured by
And it starts. Today is the first - or "minus first" day of the 25th Anniversary Sziget Festival. The weather is great, the stages are built, and the beer is cold and refreshing as ever. Today, the Dan Panaitescu Main Stage of the festival will host performers like Billy Talent and P!NK, and a special Clapping Stick Party at 19:00 local time. The other stages to be open today are Colosseum, Europe Stage, the Tribute Stage, the Campfire venue, and the VOLT Festival Stage, along with the Sziget Beach, the Magic Mirror, the Music Box, and the Traveling Funfair, offering

(our thanks got chudo_pahan) Check out the songs they have on their MySpace, if you don't know this San Francisco-based act. They are quite interesting. Rupa & The April Fishes are set to play Sziget Festival 2010 on August 14.
Here's a cool souvenir from this year's Sziget Festival. The Editors, playing their song "Bricks and mortar" at Sziget 2009. Even if winter's coming, remembering this great summer always feels good. Enjoy!
